Our Story

Al Forno Catering was born from a lifelong passion for food, fire, and bringing people together. The story began in a small kitchen, where chef Uttam Khangura’s love for cooking first took shape. By 18, his dedication had already led him to a sous chef role at a renowned restaurant, where he discovered the magic of a traditional forno oven. Determined to deepen his craft, he trained in Vancouver, BC, and later pursued a degree in hospitality and business in Switzerland. His career continued in London at the two-Michelin-starred Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, followed by five years across Europe, where he immersed himself in diverse culinary traditions. Today, Al Forno Catering brings these experiences together, uniting classical technique, international influence, and the age-old tradition of wood-fired cooking, to craft unforgettable dining experiences for every event.
